National Team visits Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh
Fr. Xavier Soreng and Mr. Jayanta Patra went to Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for their monitoring
visits of ESP (Ensuring Social Protection) program from 12-19 January, 2024. A meeting was
organized in Jharna, Namkum, Ranchi for finalizing Jharkhand State Annual Plan where 21 members
participated. The participants included the State Coordinators, SLTs (State level Trainers), Unit
Coordinators, and Community Trainers. On 14-15 of January, the National Team visited ESP Centres
of Hazaribag, namely Jharkhand Mahila Utthan, Lara, Konar Social Extension Centre, Dumer, Prerna,
and Patra centres, including the villages of, Balidih, Hewai and Jam Vihar in their operational areas.
Similar meeting for finalizing the annual action plan was held on 17 of January for the partners in
Chhattisgarh in which 16 members participated; following which the National Team visited the ESP
centres of Kerakacchar and Korba and held meeting with one CCFF (Community Convergence
Facilitating Forum) in the operational area of Korba on February 18, 2024. During these visits, some
important operational issues in the implementation of ESP were also addressed.
