“No more out of the pocket spending on healthcare anymore” ~ JSA

India is presently in a state of transition – economically, demographically, and epidemiologically in terms of health. The communicable diseases are expected to continue to remain a major public health problem in the coming decades posing a threat to both national and international health security. Besides endemic diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS), tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and neglected tropical diseases, the communicable disease outbreaks continues to challenge public health, requiring high level of readiness in terms of early detection and rapid response.
In this regard, Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA) released a Health Manifesto at Indian Social Institution, Delhi on 21^st March’ 24, showcasing the immediate modifications required in the health sector. To begin with – tackling malnourishment in children, anemia in women, and creating special care for the disabled as well as prioritizing mental health and imposing a universal healthcare system for all. We aim at rebuilding the healthcare system not merely renaming it.
